Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-01
This policy explains what information Nexus Digital collects when you visit our website or engage our services, how we use it, and the rights you have over it under Australian law.
1. Who we are
Nexus Digital is an Australian business based in Melbourne, Victoria, founded and operated by Ryan Lanyon. We install NEXGEN OS™, our productized AI Operating System, into operations-heavy small and mid-sized businesses.
You can contact us at hello@nexusdigital.studio for any privacy-related question, request, or complaint.
2. What information we collect
We collect two broad categories of information.
Information you give us
- Booking forms. When you book an AI opportunity call or proposal call through our Google Calendar appointment link, we collect your name, email address, company, optional phone number, and any notes you add to the booking.
- AI Readiness Quiz. Our quiz (hosted on a separate subdomain at quiz.nexusdigital.studio) collects the answers you submit, along with your name and email if you choose to receive your results by email.
- Email signups + correspondence. If you subscribe to our newsletter or email us directly, we keep your email address and the content of your messages.
- Engagement data. Once you become a client, we collect the information needed to deliver your engagement, including company details, billing information, and any data you share with us during scoping or install.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics + usage data. When you visit the site we collect pages viewed, referring site, approximate device + browser type, and aggregate performance data (Web Vitals).
- IP address. Your IP address is processed by our hosting and analytics providers. It is anonymised before storage in our analytics dashboards.
- Cookies. See the next section.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Schedule and conduct discovery and sales calls
- Build ROI models, proposals, and statements of work for your business
- Deliver engagements you have signed up for (install, retainer, assessment)
- Send follow-up materials you have requested
- Send occasional marketing emails about our services, with a clear unsubscribe link in every message
- Improve the site, our content, and our service
- Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations
4. Cookies + analytics
We use two analytics tools on this site.
- Vercel Analytics. Cookie-less. Tracks aggregate page views and Web Vitals. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
- Google Analytics 4. Sets cookies (including
_ga,_gid, and similar) which persist for up to 13 months. Used to understand how people find and use the site.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by clearing or blocking cookies in your browser settings, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we use to run the business, and only to the extent each provider needs to do its job.
- Vercel — website hosting and Vercel Analytics
- Google Workspace — email, Calendar appointment scheduling, and document storage
- Google Analytics — site usage measurement
- Cloudflare — DNS and edge security
- MailerLite — email marketing and newsletter delivery
- Stripe — payment processing for paid engagements (the Strategic System Assessment and install deposits)
These providers may store and process data in the United States, European Union, or other jurisdictions outside Australia. See section 10 below.
We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
6. How we store and protect your information
Information is held inside the third-party services listed above, each of which encrypts data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is limited to Ryan Lanyon and authorised contractors who need it to deliver the service, and is protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
Retention:
- Booking enquiries, proposals, and engagement records are kept for 7 years from the end of the engagement, to meet Australian tax and accounting record-keeping requirements.
- Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted on the next housekeeping pass.
- Aggregate, de-identified analytics data may be kept indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, including Australian Privacy Principles 12 (Access) and 13 (Correction), you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to records we are required to keep by law
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@nexusdigital.studio. We respond within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days.
8. Marketing opt-out
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link in the footer. You can also email hello@nexusdigital.studio at any time to be removed from our list. We process opt-out requests promptly.
9. Children's privacy
Our services are directed at business operators, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe we have collected such information in error, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International data transfer
Several of the third-party services we use (Vercel, Google, Cloudflare, MailerLite, Stripe) store and process data in the United States, the European Union, and other jurisdictions outside Australia. By using this site or engaging our services, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions. We choose providers with a strong track record on data protection, but we cannot guarantee the same level of legal protection that applies in Australia.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page for a reasonable period after the change.
12. Complaints and contact
If you have a privacy concern, the fastest path is to email hello@nexusdigital.studio. We take privacy seriously and aim to resolve issues quickly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
